Space in Calgary for you to breathe, reflect, and grow
Life can feel overwhelming. Between work, relationships, family, and the expectations you carry, it’s easy to feel stretched too thin. Individual therapy gives you a space that’s just for you: a place to pause, make sense of what’s happening inside, and build tools that help you feel lighter and more grounded.

What Individual Therapy Can Help With
Clients often come to individual therapy for support with:
- Anxiety, depression, stress, or burnout
- Trauma or painful past experiences
- ADHD “scatterbrain” tendencies or difficulty focusing
- Perfectionism, guilt, or self-criticism
- Boundaries and people-pleasing
- Parenting stress or family patterns
- Feeling stuck or disconnected from your authentic self
You don’t have to have everything “figured out” before you start — therapy is a space to explore at your own pace.
My Approach
I’m not a “sit quietly and nod” therapist. I show up as myself: warm, curious, sometimes direct, and always human. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface and find practical, realistic tools that actually fit your life.
Every session is tailored to your needs
I draw from approaches like:
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) → understanding and shifting emotional patterns
- Narrative Therapy → separating you from old stories that no longer serve you
- Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) → small, doable steps toward change
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) → making sense of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) → working with various parts of yourself and their relationship with each other
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) → helping the brain and nervous system process distressing experiences that feel stuck or hard to move past
- Mind-body strategies → calming your nervous system so you can feel steady in daily life
Every session is tailored to you — your goals, your pace, your story.

Who Individual Therapy Can Help
Individual therapy is flexible and can be shaped around your life stage and needs. I often work with:

Parents
Carrying stress, guilt, or the weight of old family patterns. Therapy can help you find balance and parent in ways that feel authentic to you.

Young Adults
Navigating big life transitions like a career, relationships, identity, while wanting to break free from outside expectations and old patterns.

Older Adults
Ready to finally process the past, explore long-standing patterns, and create more meaning and ease in daily life.

Kids & Teens
Children and adolescents often need a different approach. Individual sessions for youth focus on coping skills, emotional regulation, and confidence.
Let’s Start With a Conversation
If you’re ready to feel steadier, calmer, and more supported, individual therapy is a safe place to begin. Let’s take the first step together.
You’re not the only one wondering…
How do I know if individual therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in old patterns, or just craving a safe space to sort through your thoughts and feelings, therapy can help. You don’t need to wait until things feel “bad enough.”
What happens in the first session?
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’d like to work on, and how I can support you. Think of it as a conversation, not a test.
Do you only see clients in Calgary?
I offer in-person sessions in Calgary, and I also see clients virtually across Canada (except Quebec and certain Atlantic provinces). Online therapy can be just as effective, and it gives you flexibility to connect from home.
Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
Not at all. Many of my clients come without a diagnosis. They just know something feels heavy, stressful, or stuck. If we decide a formal assessment would be helpful, I can guide you through that process.
How long will I need therapy?
It depends on your goals. Some clients come for a few sessions to focus on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper healing. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is still meeting your needs.
How much does individual therapy cost?
Sessions are $180/hr., with a sliding scale available to reduce barriers. We can talk about fees during your free consultation.
