Parenting With Compassion, not (just) Exhaustion
Parenting is one of the most meaningful (and most challenging) roles you’ll ever take on. It’s rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming, exhausting, and full of guilt. Many parents come to therapy because they want to parent differently than they were raised, but aren’t sure how. Parenting support gives you a space to reflect, build new skills, and break old cycles so you can show up with more compassion — for your kids and yourself.

What Parenting Support Can Help With
Therapy for parents can support you with:
- Stress, guilt, and burnout from parenting
- Anxiety about “messing up” your kids
- Breaking cycles of generational trauma or harsh family patterns
- Struggles with boundaries and regulation
- Navigating conflict, co-parenting, or family transitions
- Feeling pulled between caring for others and your own self-care
Parenting doesn’t have to feel like survival mode. Therapy can help you move toward balance, connection, and more joy in family life.
My Approach
As both a therapist and a mom of two, I know how real the challenges of parenting can feel. My approach combines professional experience and lived understanding. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what feels heavy, and how you can create a more aligned way of parenting.
I often draw from:
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) → learning to regulate your own emotions so you can respond instead of react
- Family Systems Therapy → understanding patterns that show up in families and shifting them toward healthier dynamics
- Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) → practical tools for handling tricky parenting moments
- Narrative Therapy → challenging “not good enough” stories and rewriting them with compassion
This isn’t about being a “perfect parent” — it’s about becoming the parent you want to be, with support along the way.

Parenting FAQs
Do you meet with parents without their kids?
Yes. Parenting support sessions are for you as the parent, though I also offer child & teen therapy when it makes sense to involve your child directly.
What if both parents want to come?
We can decide together whether individual sessions, joint parenting sessions, or a mix would work best for your family.
Is this therapy for my child or for me?
Parenting support is focused on you as a parent, while Child & Teen Therapy focuses directly on your child. Sometimes both can work hand-in-hand.
Can therapy really help with parenting stress?
Yes. Parents often leave feeling lighter, more equipped, and more compassionate with themselves which naturally creates more connection at home.
Still have questions? I’d love to hear from you.
